30 2016 Jaguars
return to Silverstone This
year's Silverstone Classic brought out a variety of Jaguars and thankfully the
weather was dry. A selection of Coventry's finest was out on the famous Northamptonshire
circuit. XKs were represented by 120s and 150s, Series
1 E types were numerous and C and D types could be seen in fairly large numbers.
Sadly
the XJC remained in the garage and the XJS was absent. Racing
was up to the usual highly competitive standard with some interesting battles
between E types and Ferraris. For
those wishing to buy a Jaguar the auction had a XK150 and several E types of most
series available. The
Jaguar clubs were out in force with a large selection of cars from 1950s onwards.Such
rarities as XJ220 in red instead of the usual silver, Project 7 and a road going
XJR9 copy. Results Photos |
