23 2010 Jaguars
return to Silverstone Once
again the Northamptonshire countryside echoed to the sound of the six cylinder
XK engine as virtually every model of Jaguar took to the track. With
XK120s, Mark 1 and 2, Mark 7, C type, D type, E type, S type, Lister Jaguars and
XJS on the track there was a model for everybody's taste. The fire marshall's
car was also a Jaguar - an XF. Jaguars
were competing in several of the 23 races making one think that they had taken
a step back in time to the fifties or sixties. Off
the track the was numerous Jaguars on display including the stunning XJ13, virtually
every model made could be seen on the club displays and the Ecurie Ecoss transporter
now owned by Dick Skipworth which he uses to transport his collection of racing
Jaguars. |
